📦 From Here to There: A Gentle Goodbye (and a Warm Hello)
After many years and many stories, it’s time to turn the page.
My original blog, annmalonesulsar.com—or as longtime readers might remember it from even earlier days, annsulsar.blogspot.com—has been my online home for over a decade. It’s where I first began sharing my thoughts, creative experiments, yarny adventures, and life updates. Like an attic full of well-loved notebooks, it’s seen everything from journal reflections to DIY wins (and whoopsies), to blog series that felt like personal time capsules.
But now, that chapter has come to a close.
🏡 Why I'm Moving On
Over the last year, I’ve been working on a soft reorganization of all my digital spaces. I’ve grown into two distinct paths that both needed their own room to stretch out and shine:
- Laughing Yarns — A cozy and chaotic space for all things crochet, fiber arts, and handmade hilarity. You’ll find free patterns, printables, project logs, and movie-themed yarn antics (yes, that’s a thing now 🎬🧶).
- The Quiet Acre — A slower, softer corner of the web focused on homesteading, simple living, growing things (plants and habits), and reflecting on this quirky little journey we call life.
I realized that trying to combine all those things into one site was like trying to store tomato seedlings in the yarn bin—messy and confusing. So now each site has its own clear purpose, its own rhythm, and a more organized space to grow.

The annmalonesulsar.com domain now points to The Quiet Acre, where I’ll continue sharing cozy living, garden dreams, and slow homestead stories. Meanwhile, my original blog has returned to its blogspot roots: annsulsar.blogspot.com.
I’m keeping the old blog online as an archive—like a digital scrapbook of earlier projects and reflections. It’s no longer being updated, but you’re welcome to browse its pages if you ever feel nostalgic. All new content is now happily growing at my two dedicated spaces: Laughing Yarns and The Quiet Acre.

Here I write about slow mornings, backyard gardening attempts (some successful, some... character building), pantry experiments, and learning to live a simpler life with purpose. It’s more journal, more dirt-under-the-nails, more barefoot coffee-sipping reflection. If you love cozy living, seasonal rhythm, and homemaking stories that embrace the mess and the magic—welcome home.
